Day One

Day one in Uganda was quite the wonderful experience. We woke up to a delicious breakfast consisting of Rolex's, chapatti's and fruit on the viewing deck, in the beautiful morning air. We headed to our church service with satisfied stomachs.

The first half of church was really good as we reunited with old friends and made new ones, and sang and danced to the glorious African singing. The second half was interesting as we listened to the nice, yet long sermon. We headed home for a lovely lunch, fresh bread rolls, and fresh fruit.
After lunch we headed excitedly up to the village. We played an intense game of soccer, read stories with the children and played with all the kids. It was great to see our friends and make new ones. We headed home, tired, and ate beans and rice on the roof, and then gathered and discussed our thoughts so far.

We thank God for a happy and safe day.
Till next time.  Sam from team 14!!
