After another fairly comfortable flight from Dubai we arrived in Uganda, but not before the pilot abandoned his first attempt at landing due to some strong winds... needless to say there were quite a few questions being asked when we flew right over the runway. However, we did land and cleared immigration and got all of our bags, which was quite a blessing.
Robert and William were waiting to pick us up with the bus and a pickup for our luggage. The supposed 3 hours bus trip from Entebbe to Suubi ended up taking almost 4.5 hours due to multiple traffic jams for no apparent reason. While this did provide quite a cultural learning experience along the way, we were all quite tried when we arrived at Suubi. Juliet and Elizabeth greeted us and treated us to a wonderful spaghetti bolognese meal with Ugandan pineapple and a Juliet special cake for dessert.
Everyone then acquainted themselves with the showers and hopped into bed... tomorrow we will be visiting the Village of Hope and town... Stay tuned.
