Day 2 in Uganda began with a breakfast of rolex's and chapattis up on our beautiful deck. Then it was off to the village to discover what 'work' would look like.
We were met by some friendly and motivated Ugandan workers who were more than willing to show us how we could 'get our hands dirty'.
One group got into beginning the first course of bricks on house 9, one team got into finishing the rendering work on house 7 and 8, one team began to dig the ground around house 7 and 8 getting it ready for 'beautifying' as the Ugandans say!!
Needless to say, there was plenty of sweating and getting dirty, which made cold showers seem absolutely no problem.
Lunch was lovely fresh rolls baked this morning by our very capable cooks.
Then it was off for our first look at town, getting some cash to begin hitting the souvenir shops and cafes for cold drinks!! The journey to town was piled into 2 vehicles with some of the team in the back of a pick up, as there were problems in transport world with strikes and vigilante groups attacking anything that looked like a van!!
The end of the day was a great meal at '2 Friends' our favorite Ugandan restaurant which was enjoyed by all!!
It's now 9pm and getting strangely quiet in the house... hard work is tiring!!
We're all doing well, but appreciate your continued prayers for our health and safety during our time here.

Thanks for the update and the great photos - good to see house 9 commence and the HB Builders looking professional (still) in their work uniforms! We are praying for all of you and the people over there... Even from the USA!
