VOH UPDATES 2013

It has been a while without updates from Village of Hope ,,,to all our friends out there we say HELLO. The Village is fine and everybody is lively we had a wonderful overnight this Friday and we dedicated the Village into the hands of God and raged for our donors ,this is every first Friday of the month. .Today morning we went to church , we had a wonderful sermon and this time Sunday school was the smartest and most joyous.Some unfortunate news of Pr. George losing his in-law but he being comforted by the LORD.
A lot of activities are going on at the village and everyone is busy; manager's is being plastered,house 10 foundation is finished, enough blocks for house 10 are ready ,a pit latrine is being dug and the children always  do their daily routines and now many of them are interested in their studies than ever before.
This year 2013 we have 3(Joan,Peace,and Robert )as P.7 candidates, we wish them success in their next week Primary living Examinations.We also have 5from Pree-school who are joining P.1 next year and they now call themselves graduands.

Villlage of Hope Saying Hi.....

Hi to all our people ,
I believe this post find you fine and happy wherever you are. Here at Village of Hope we are fine and going on with our daily routines ..... The children, mothers, admnistrators and all its occupants send their greetings
through this post.The situation is generally okay at the Village, everything is going on well, only that we had a few cases of malaria (Phiona,& Mariam ) but they have now recovered.We thank God for our lovely Nurse Mama Jesca...she is so caring and doing a good job at the Village.
The trees which Team 14 planted are all in good condition ..they have grown in sature steadily as you will see Andrew's tree in the photos attached.
Last week on wednesday 9 , it was Uganda's 51 independence anniversarry and it was a public holiday  here at the Village we watched a live broadcast on a local TV channel. It was amazing seeing the children attentive which is a sign of being patriotic to their Country.
As the grown up children were busy watching , the little children were busy thinking about CHRISTMAS as they see it drawing nearer...they are so anxious to see it happen as they always rehearse the way they will put on, walk to church the food they will eat and entertainment they will enjoy. They always ask me whether i will have christmas with them or go to my family members of which they dont want.They really dont want to miss me Uncle Johann and Uncle Edward  on christmas and they blag that for them they have seen Uncle Johann and for i have not seen him.

Village of Hope Updates

Greetings to all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ..We thank God for  ending September well because the
Village is fine. Mothers ,children and other occupants are all happy.
In the last two weeks, a lot has been happening these ends ,the children are in their third week at school and they are progressing well in their beginning of term exams and weekend tests.Our friends Ron and Ann went home for a while and we shall so much miss their Sunday evening devotions with the children we pray that they return to Africa as scheduled.
Construction work is being done and House 9 which team 14 left at beam level is now roofed. I believe all the participants in this Lord's work will enjoy this....from the youngest Sam to Jajja John  thanks for all the work you did. The manager's house is also progressing well as it has been concreted in all the rooms and roofing has started with the roof truss being raised.Sill in construction , the bricks for constructing House 10 are being made by the widows in the community.
We always rage and thank everybody endeavoring to break the cycle of poverty.

To all... I'm  writing to inform you that
we have come to the end
of second term holiday
and third term begins tomorrow.
We adore the LORD JESUS
 for enabling us to do
the activities as time tabled that's,
 coaching, playing,
church programes like
 music,farmwork, and
visiting some of the
 children's relatives which
was the most joyous
 activity for the children
we went with.
The relatves were so happy
and amazed by the children's beautiful
looks ,their smooth skins and the
growth in stature all this happened in
Masese-Kikaramoja zone when we
went with six families.
All the parents in Masese
wanted us to take thier children so
that they can have a better lifeas
it was really a tight paper for us.
Meanwhile,our poultry project at
the Village has progressed we are
only remained with some thing little
to down construction.

A well used Holiday!!!!!

Hello to all our bloggers
Praise GOD all out there, we are fine these ends, the children mothers and all Village of Hope occupants.
Today at church (Abundant church) it has been a Youths' service  and the youth have blasted us with their
amazing ministry especially those at our village who led the whole program.It has been really an amazing Sunday as our youth leader in church the one and only Alice gave us a wonderful word.
This holiday,our children have had holiday studies at the village  and they have been helped in their weak areas.This has been at all levels and the mothers Prossy and Lovisa have done great work in nursery and primary while i ,Ron, Ann, and Luke we  have been handling those in High School helping them in biology,agriculture,geog and english.

We believe this holiday has been put into use and we anxiously waiting for good results next term.
The children have been much eager to learn and they found it so interesting to study in their dinning rooms.
We thank GOD for this holiday.....

Hi to all our readers,
Its so surprising that we have come to the end of Term 2, Glory be TO OUR GOD for whatever he's done.
The village is so jovial because all most all the children are through with their  Exams apart from those
of Jinja Christian School who promise to break off this week. Hope Land pupils got their report cards on
Thursday and the performance is really promising. Joy, Jinja, Hope comm will have theirs this week.

About entertainment, the trainer is now on ground and the practices have resumed in all aspects of music dance and drama.
New Children;
The new children are doing well and growing up so steadily to the extent that the clothes we gave them no longer fit them because they have put  on weight  Jackson who came as a little baby a month and some weeks back is now a big boy  and he now runs around the whole Village.
VOH projects
Team 14 blessed us with donations to start a poultry project and fence up our land ...see the progress of these in the photos.

Lastly, a while ago V O H  received  a child named Ashiraf who claimed to have lost his parents, but after the Village of Hope administrators carried out a private investigation, we found out that he had parents and we Reunited him to his parents.

Village of Hope updates 2013

Greetings to all of you out there; we are so grateful to inform you that the village is doing well though have
not been updating for a while.
We thank God that most of our Team 14 members reached safely in  AUSTRA LIA  and we still have
Renay and Anne at the village...We really miss all of you guys and so you are i believe.
At the Village, we have had some restructuring with shifting here and there..Mama Loyce house 1 is now
in house 7 with her family and Mama Lovisa occupies house 7,  Mafabi Samuel 2 is now in 8,Paul 2 is now in 5,Juma 5 is now in 3,Derrick 8 is now in 2, Phiona 1 is now in 6,Jane 6 is now in 1,Steven 3 is now in 2.
We believe that this shifting is for the well being of the children and the village as a whole because we gave
the children a chance to choose where they feel at home in the village and fortunately  all most  each one
chose the mother we had suggested for...we  are so happy for that.
In house 2, a new mother (Mama Harriet)  has reported to replace Mama Agnes.
